Just a point to add. I do believe the USA has fired on it's own civilians (surprise surprise) but not since the 60s.

As for the tank GP. Would there be a firing strategy? Would it be non contact? At 2-5 gallons per mile it might take a few refillings.

I have seen truck racing at Brands, which was fun, but this seems much cooler if a little destructive. Will they do a demolition derby at the end?

If nothing else at least we wouldn’t have to put up with the new tyres wearing out in a handful of laps, meaning the best drivers would be able to push for the entire race.
