Having worked hard all my life, nurturing and developing my ability to be a complete Idiot, I have recently been informed that this is not the case, indeed "bit's are missing". Oh, my life's work, all for nothing it would seem. Sad

So, I thought I would start this "Fred", where, us incomplete Idiots can discuss those issue which tend to Blind Side you, usually about 22:00 Hrs, on a Wednesday, during the winter month's, after more than enough libation.

In other word's, all those question's that require lateral thought.

Here's a few for you.

If a Fly didn't have wing's, would it be called a Walk?.

Why, when you put something in "a safe place", you can never remember where it is?.

One for the American's, why is it, when Donald Duck takes a shower he wrap's himself in a towel before leaving the shower, put's on his uniform, ie, his top, then removes the towel?.

I think I may need some help here. Grin hello

Discuss.

Why has no country ever come up with the phrase "as ugly as an airport".
All the plumbing/services are on show presumably due to their importance.
All the gates are hard to find due, I assume, to their unimportance. (DNA)

Am thinking of posting a pic of my nan here. She's a Fred too.  Grin

Even the Swiss have incomplete idiots. Found this book/organiser in a shop window and had to take a pic.

Nice picture that, I wonder if it's available as a Fridge Magnet?. Tongue

Now, having spent all of my working years dedicated all things Mechanical, I consider myself to have a fairly good grasp of Propulsion Systems. So, could someone explain how The Batmobile, which was Jet Propelled, managed to wheel-spin every time it moved?. scratch-head

Your input would be appreciated. sign-help

It could do the opposite of a wheel spin.

i.e. be pushed along faster than it spins.  confused

either that or *** spoiler alert *** it wasn't real.  Shocked

I have an even better idea.

How about a gas turbine engine driving the wheels mechanically via a gearbox and the exhaust of the turbine having an afterburn fuel system.
Sounds dangerous. Can we build one!  Cool

Just for a minute there, you had me worried, but given that it was on Tele, well. Cheesy

Next, you will be trying to tell me that, Father Christmas, in a red suit, is as a direct result of an advertising campaign by Coke Cola back in 1936. Shocked

I was always told that the red suit was so St. Nick couldn't get lost in the snow.

I quite like this, but you need to be a near incomplete idiot to even think of it. Wink
