Here is one : http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

Works with the 'All CPU Meter' gadget....

http://addgadget.com/all_cpu_meter/

They also do a GPU meter :

Just a shame they only go up to 5000 series ATI lol, I wondered why that was showing nothing.

I use the all cpu meter gadget too, very handy, I guess you could have that displaying on the second monitor when in games, that’s when the temps will rise.

I use the ATI tray tool, I know I’ve said it before, but for my setup its best to have the temps displaying on screen in game.

Yeah I wondered why it wasn’t displaying any stats, an up-date at some time should get over that.

Found something made by Sapphire that will do the trick :

https://www.sapphireselectclub.com/ssc/TriXX/TriXX.aspx

Also lets you over clock and lots of other stuff.

Comes with a W7 gadget built in as in image...

Looks good, so what you going to do, have the gadgets on the second screen when gaming?

Yes that's probably the best option.

I like the way these ATI HD graphics cards underclock themselves when not running any demanding graphics tasks, got to save power, money and make less heat, you can clearly see the GPU and memory are underclocked from the graphics gadget that you posted Freddy.

I had not noticed that, well spotted.  I would not have realised unless you had pointed it out.

btw, my CPU seems to be staying pretty cool after the clean out, not that I was aware of it getting too hot, but hey it's nice to know.

The graphics card seems to handle Ultra High settings in Lotro really well.  I did a raid with twelve other players all attacking a giant turtle (yes giant turtle!) and loads of magic and effects were kicking off.  It ran very smoothly.

I’m not really surprised that your new card can play games in Ultra settings, I would have been surprised if it didn’t though, lovely 256bit bus, does make a huge improvement over 128bit, basically double the speed over 128bit per given MHz.

That bit about the giant turtle made me and Mrs Data chuckle, sounds like fun.

What temp is the hottest CPU core running at when gaming? I say hottest because one of the cores does tend to run hotter than the others normally.

It seemed to max out at about 60 degrees when under load.  I was surprised by how quickly it cools down too.  Within a minute it had cooled to idle temp of about 33 degrees.

The cooling was reported as being very good on these, you can see pipes and all sorts in there, I guess that is partly why it is so substantial.

I'll fire up Lotro and get another screenshot.  Back in a bit...

Here we go, it was at about 60 but it had started dropping by the time I swapped to desktop.

Actually Freddy I was asking about the CPU temp and not the GPU temp, hehe.

Saying that your GPU is running nice and cool, don’t be too suspired if you see the GPU hit 80C on a hot day, that’s ok but you really don’t want it to go over 80C by much.

SOrry I misread.  Well I just did another 12 person raid, this time an octopus thingy and it was pretty intense.

Max CPU on one core was 52 degrees.
