Thank for checking out my site, and registering to the forum. By the time you got to my site, I had changed the captcha that Data had a problem with. At the moment I am going to stay with this captcha, But I might be interested in your friends work in the near future. Thanks a bunch for looking out for my site, it is greatly appreciated. I just have so much other priorities atm described a bit below.
once I finish the main page I plan on Spreading the word about the site and getting more users. Unfortunately I have to at some time real soon maybe tonight remove joomla and it's database, then create a new database, reinstall joomla, reinstall the template, and rebuild the pages. reason for this is when I first installed joomla I loaded sample data for I never used joomla. That was a big mistake, there is so much data here there and everywhere and will take way too much time to delete it all. A clean install, setup and build the pages should only take a few hours now that I know a bit of what I'm doing.  Once I do that then hopefully I can start on the sites actual content. So if you get a error page, that means I'm reconstructing, but if you type in americanmadeweb.com/phpBB3 you will be able to get to the forums at least  thumbsup

A clean install sounds good Syber, I will pop in from time to time, see how you are getting on.

Anything we might be able to help with, just ask.

Good luck  Smiley

Nice theme you chose.  I did play with Joomla a long time back and yes it had a bit of a learning curve.  I think it is worth learning though and I may use it for something one day.  Lots of mod available too.

Good luck with the site Smiley

Thanks Freedy for the compliment and for stopping by the site thumbsup
Joomla does has a learning curve, I have a decent grasp on it now  Cheesy
I think it is going to a great asset for this sites management,  Although I feel like I'm cheating in a way

Sample data is all gone, Site is back up. Time to create some content  Grin
I also changed forums path to americanmadeweb/forum

I know what you mean about the cheating bit, it feels like that to me too. If you do it this way though development will probably be a lot quicker.  There used to be a golden rule for hackers (I mean the old definition, not the one hijacked by the media incorrectly) and that was not to do something that had already been done before... kind of like reinventing the wheel...

hey I remember that rule  Cheesy
A old friend told me about it a IRC chat channel, way back when I was like 14 years old.
I wonder what he has been up to after all these years scratch-head
I'm afraid I'll never know, we lost touch many moons ago Sad
