A better Sherlock Holmes there could never be
Jeremy brought to life a man of mystery.
He stepped into the shoes of Sherlock Holmes
Breathing life into Conan Doyle’s books.
Maybe the two of them now sit together in a better place,
Discussing all the frailties of the human race.
Maybe they party now and then
Sipping wine from the glass of eternity.
One thing is for sure,
Jeremy has walked through heavens door.
No more to entertain us here on earth,
But in our hearts he still lives on.
Nothing ever really dies,
And knowing that makes death a lie.
Jeremy you were a Gentleman from birth.
Till one sad day the angels took you
away from us mortals here on earth,
They took you home, but oh so gently.
Alas, we miss your kind and gentle ways;
No more acting no more plays.
But in our hearts and minds you still appear,
Handsome and tall, forever the Victorian gentleman,
Always the master of your craft.
No tears, no sadness, all is well in Gods great plan.
