Lazy bones.
By Diane Jones.
I'm safe indoors the fire glows
I feel its warmth around my toes,
I'm in a very lazy mood
But guess its 'cos I'm full of food.
The sun is out and puts on show
My cobweb's and they're all aglow,
They really are so very pretty
To dust them off would be a pity.
I'll just rest here and sit and dream
Enjoying winters cosy scene
Now everything can rest awhile
Before spring come's with happy smile.
And tells us now its time to move
And snap's us out of lazy groove
Then is the time to dig and sow
But up till then I'll take life slow.
I'll sit around and stroke the cat,
Both he and I are fond of that.
A jigsaw puzzle I might try
Providing there's not too much sky.
A crossword puzzle could be fun
But so is tea and toasted bun
I don’t find winter dull or grey
I just enjoy each lazy day.
