Re: ISS Viewing Times

Tuesday June 22nd at 01:32 am for Brighton is the best viewing time for the ISS this month. Not sure if I'll be awake then 'cos I work If you will be up then it will be visible for easily 2 mins and obviously the fastest moving bright dot in the heavens. The eyeball mark 1 can't ditinguish features but a pair of 10x 40-50mm bins will and 100mm reflector telescope would be lovely Must phone my mate with the 210mm 'scope

Very good view of the ISS last night at 10:55.
Problems yesterday with the docking of a Soyuz re-supply craft which is to be attempted again today (Sun 4th). What was cool last night is seeing a dimmer dot 15 odd degrees ahead of the ISS.
I have now seen the ISS with a Soyuz. Hurah.
Next viewing times... Sun Jul 04/09:47 PM ok Sun Jul 04/11:22 PM ok
Mon Jul 05/10:13 PM good
Tue Jul 06/10:39 PM ok Times after this are getting poor

Yes I've been keeping an eye out too this week for the ISS.
I've seen it three or four times - Monday at 21. 28 was bright for about three whole minutes.
My dad nearly fell over when I told him it is travelling at 17, 000 mph, is carrying three personnel and orbits Earth in approx. 1 h 38 m !

Shuttle and ISS viewing on Friday 3rd for UK.
For Brighton at:- Fri Jun 03/03:36 AM for Shuttle and 03:38 for the ISS. For 4 mins at approx 40 degrees. Bit early/late for me.
ISS view is better on the Sat. Sat Jun 04/04:00 AM for 4 min at 76 degrees
Viewing times from UK will get more sociable in about 2-3 weeks
