Perseid meteors

The annual Perseid meteors are set to put on a spectacular sky show this weekend.

From the UK, the best time to see the Perseid shower is likely to be on the morning of 12 August before dawn.

Should be a good showing if the weather permits, could be up to 60 an hour.

Even had I had the energy to get up early enough I doubt we would have seen anything in Dublin.

Cloud cover this morning is 10/10ths!!!!!

I went out and had a look just before bedtime last night, did see a large meteor shoot across the sky from East to West. Waited for another one for about 10 mins but it didn’t happen, still I did get to see one and it was a good one.
