The Abu Dhabi GP of 2011

The McLarens look very quick in practice,  Cool

I think this track suits the McLaren with its straights and slower corners, so we could see a win by Jenson or Lewis, who knows we could even see a McLaren 1, 2.

Ferrari and Alonso keep the flexi, sorry bouncy front wing but Massa has reverted to the previous rigid wing. There aren’t any nasty big kerbs on the track so Massa should keep all his wheels on the car.

Will we see Hamilton and Massa have a coming together?

Will Massa get the order to destroy Hamiltons race?

Will Vettel even try going for the win?

It’s going to be a great race and I can’t wait.

Go Go Hamilton, smoothly does it Button.  driving flag

Good quali session.

Button crossed the line and got 1st, then Hamilton beat him by .009 secs, then Vettel beat them both by .15-ish.
So, that's Vettel 1st, Hamilton 2nd and Button 3rd with Webber behind.

Should be a close race though not that good for overtaking.

Yes it is a lovely looking circuit, good for the fans and the sport and it delivered an exciting race too.

Hamiltons back with a dominating win, things might not have been the same if Vettel hadn’t have got the puncture on the second corner of the first lap, I was actually a bit disappointed when we knew Vettel was out of the race, really wanted to see a fight between him and Hamilton but I guess it was time for a bit of bad luck to head his way.

We nearly had a McLaren 1. 2 but Jensons KERS playing up really prevented that, still 3rd is a good result.

Excellent race but I feel the podium should have been, Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso.

I cheered when Vettel slid off. Finally someone else can have a go.  Grin

Does that make me a bad person.

I cheered when Vettel went off too, agree with Dave, he wasn’t hurt so it doesn’t make you a bad person Snowy.

I was a bit gutted when we knew a little while later that he was out of the race, I would have loved to see him get back on track with new tyres and show us some overtaking skill and fight his way back to the front, as long as he didn’t win  lol
