The Belgium GP of 2011

The break is over, now back to the action…  and back to the action on probably the best track on the calendar too.

It’s got to be a track that suites the Mclaren hasn’t it?
With its very long straights, can they make it 3 in a row?

It could fall into the hands of Ferrari I guess, either way it cant be one of RedBulls stronger races, yes Webber was fastest in practice 2 but I cant see them dominating in this race.

Of course I could be 100% wrong

Bring it on  driving

Re: The Belgium GP of 2011

Webber sets the fastest lap in a wet practice 3, he does seem to be on a mission for the race this weekend.

Interestingly, Vettel hasn’t looked very impressive so far, I wonder what’s going on there.

Rain is predicted for qualifying.

Re: The Belgium GP of 2011

What was Pastor Maldonado doing driving into Lewis like that  Huh?.

Obviously the guy was feeling frustrated but to drive into another car like that is unacceptable in my book.

Send him home  no-no

Re: The Belgium GP of 2011

Button had a bad day with only 13th. Poor comunications from team/driver.

Hamilton's day was er... eventful, again. The incident with Maldonado started at the final corner to the start/finish straight where Hamilton overtakes Maldonado under braking. Hamilton is edging out into the middle just before this 'in car' clip. I feel this clip's editing makes Hamilton look perfect but he was definitely involved. I still feel it was Maldonado's fault.

Re: The Belgium GP of 2011

Can only find this on the official news.

"The race stewards in Spa, which include former world champion Nigel Mansell as the ex-driver representative on the four-man panel handed Maldonado a five-place grid penalty and gave Hamilton a warning."

That puts Maldonado in 21st.

Re: The Belgium GP of 2011

Results Here.

Vettel got a first with Webber second and Button third.

Hamilton knocked out by Koyabashi (my spelling) in a 'racing incident'. No penalties.

A few links on YouTube but this one has slow mo and in car.

Re: The Belgium GP of 2011

Totally Kobayashi's fault, he had lost the place, Lewis was clearly in front. Besides Kobayashi's car had damage to the front wing already, there was no way he was going to keep Hamilton behind in.
