Going by the well informed information in the video I'm considering moving to Greenland

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
We have 7 cases of the virus, not bad considering we have a population of 181,000 people in Worcester Ma.

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
I got some surprising results when looking at the virus posts on the internet, gun sales are way up about 75 % for some reason, the state is having problems getting provisions to deal with the virus because of the federal government that gets these supplies. Police procedures have been changed for people being arrested, once they are arrested and identified it seems they are let go to be given a trial at a later period. A large number of people in prison are being let go.

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
Thinking about the whole Chinese virus one of the first things that comes to mind is people have over populated. Even in America we now have wild animals living in our back yard such as wolfs and bears, we have already taken away forest land and put in more housing for people. China has a much larger population and had a one child per family limitation that was increased to two children. Maybe I'm giving
the virus to much credit by saying the virus has chosen the perfect host, people a social animal that makes frequent contact with other people.

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
It's eerie and quiet out here. Fire alarm safety makes me a key worker, apparently. Having a difference of opinion about what work is essential with my MD.
Am currently working on a go slow and treating everywhere as contaminated. Using loads of hand sanitiser everywhere.
I thought Brexit was bad for being scary and boring at the same time but this is awful. In a permanent state of anxiety ATM.
Just need somewhere to put my thoughts where work can't see.
Keep safe and be lucky, everyone.

Snowy, I don't think I could give you any advice that you don't already know, just keep doing what you are doing, keep your distance from people, don't touch your face and keep them hands clean.
I genuinely feel for you my old buddy.

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
It seems the US goverment has been been working on this for ages.
It's rather funny but I ran across the fact that computer modeling has been in use for years in the US.
"From at least 2005 to 2017, an office inside DHS, in tandem with analysts and supercomputers at several national laboratories, produced detailed analyses of what would happen to everything from transportation systems to hospitals if a pandemic hit the United States, But the work abruptly stopped in 2017 amid a bureaucratic dispute over its value, two of the former officials said, leaving the department flat-footed as it seeks to stay ahead of the impacts the COVID-19 outbreak is having on vast swathes of the U.S. economy. Officials at other agencies have requested some of the reports from the pandemic modeling unit at DHS in recent days, only to find the information they needed scattered or hard to find quickly."
"in 2014 put under OCIA, which has listed analyzing “pandemic influenza” as a top priority." "one report that NISAC worked on for a table-top exercise looked at how to combat a hypothetical epidemic in Southeast Asia, what travel restrictions to put in place, and how to design social distancing to stop the epidemic inside the United States." "The modeling unit’s work also addressed real-life impacts to infrastructure due to smaller-scale outbreaks, including the H5N1 bird flu in 2007, H1N1 in 2009, Ebola in 2014 and the Zika virus in early 2016." All figured out and nothing to worry about.

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
It sounds like Trump knows what he's doing, the USA should be safe in his hands.
Meanwhile over here we are all being told to stay indoors.

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
I was just reading there were 3 waves of the virus spreading in China and it is likely to happen in the US.
Warmer weather in the summer will low down the spread but it will increase as the weather gets cooler.
In the meantime the the US wants people to return to work to get the economy back in shape.

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
Feeling more positive today. I'm not sure and haven't been tested but I think I've already had it.
Very mild symptoms and none they are showing on websites or I would have self isolated.
I had a headache on Tuesday, lasted about 6-8 hours. Annoying but not severe. I slept for 2 hours in the evening. A slight ache to the lower lungs. No breathing problems/sneezing/cough. This comes and goes but had it for about 7 days.
Still using hand sanitiser like it's going out of fashion and keeping 2 meter (6 feet) distance.

You and me both Snowy, I've had the same symptoms on and off for over a week, don't know for sure if it is the big one but would be good if it was. Still doing my bit here.

Re: Keep Calm and Don't Panic!
I just watched a video where a woman who was in the hospital received a bill for $34,000 dollars and since her husband changed jobs there was no insurance.

That sounds pretty awful.
