I'm hotly awaiting the next gen of touchscreens. The main thing I dislike about them is you are touching a flat piece of glass. There is some interesting tech but no on sale product as yet. iPad. Senseg.

I can think of a few handy situations for one of those portal guns
1) get to clients boat in no time flat
2) evasion of mother in-law  did I say that 
3) take the dog out to duty area, okay now I'm sounding lazy
