I grabbed the free demo, and the first 10 minutes were fun, but after that I quickly lost interest.

I did the same thing Dave, not going to delete it just yet, might go back to it, not sure but I think one of the things you do in the game is get to the moon, that does sound like a challenge that might be worth a go, when I'm in the right gaming mood that is.
