Possible CPU for gamers

This CPU caught my eye today, it's a quad core with 8Mb cache and none of that half hearted on-board graphics, this thing only takes 69w too.

It's aimed at the server market but it's basically the same silicon as the i7 Ivy Bridge CPU.

If I was building myself a new PC today I think I would seriously consider it, a bit more research might be needed first.

Had a look into this and it's a quad core, 22nm Ivy Bridge that does not hyper thread (4 threads). So more on par with an i5p but with 8MB of cache.
