Many have mentioned the more than passing resemblance between the New Pope and Jim Bowen, I think this may just prove the point.

Jim Bowen is an old school comedian, family safe type humour, who is best know for being the presenter of a TV quiz show called Bullseye,

The quote above is one of his catch phrases he says in the quiz.

Here is a little vid of him, there does seem to be a resemblance.
